Alterations-Stitch Witch or Dressing Room?

Any recommendations for alterations?  I have heard of both of these places...just wondering which one is better and the prices...

Also, I have read that you are suppossed to begin alteration 6 weeks out, then 4 then 2.  That seems so close to the wedding...is that right?!?!

    I used the dressing room... I still have the receipt so it was:take in front bust $75, hem front all layers $150, 5 hook and eye french bustle $25.  I think it took 6 weeks.. I went in March for alterations got my dress back in April, had bridal portraits in June and got married in July,

    Try Sewing by Sarah in Summerville. She fixed my bridesmaid dress in no time flat
