table numbers

Hi ladies!  So, we decided that in place of regular table numbers (1, 2, 3, etc) we would use numbers in French (I lived in France for a few years and am now a French teacher).  The coordinator at my wedding is concerned our guests don't know French and won't be able to find their seats.  I just assumed since there is only 12 tables and the table numbers will be elevated on the table that it wouldn't be a big deal, what do you ladies think?  Any suggestions?

I think as long as you use the same wording for the numbers on the tables and the place cards that you'll be fine. (like don't use the French spelling of the number on the table and then just the number 1 on placecards) People will be able to walk around the room and find their corresponding table.

i'm a big fan of having the actual numeral on table numbers to make people's lives easier. what if you put the numeral and then the french word centered under it it? Like:        1french word
