nice dress shops for Mother of Bride

Hi all,

I am a DC Knottie but my mom lives in the Bay Area. Anyone know of any nice dress shops for mother of the bride dresses? She's tried Macy's and Nordstrom, so maybe something more boutique-y?

I didn't look that closely, but Trudy's in Campbell had some nice mom-like dresses. Some of the MOB dresses are crazy expensive, though.

I think my mother went to the outlet malls in Milpitas.  There's a St. John outlet there.

My mom got two and then decided on one. One from nordstrom and one from macy's. But my mom did want something that didn't look too matronly, which is what she thought all the bridal stores had around here. There's a variety of stores in the Stanford shopping mall.
