need help finding venue

Hello friends,

My fiancé and I have been looking for two weeks and are struggling to find a venue that is under $5,000 for an outside evening reception during high season. We would like it to be a bit rural and have accommodations onsite or  nearby. I thought it would be easier to find a venue. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Kelly

  • Hi Kelly,
What areas are you looking? How many people? What month?
  • Can anyone reccommend a winery for the reception?!

  • There are so many beautiful vineyards in Santa Barbara - it depends what you are looking for, how many guests, indoors/outdoors, etc., but some of my favorites are Demetria, Sunstone, and Firestone (where I was married, so I am a little biased!) There are beautiful wineries in Malibu too. Check out some photos of the venues:

  • Sorry, but I doubt any of the SB area wineries would come in under $5K...we looked at a few and the most reasonably priced one we liked was Gainey (I think thier base use fee was just under $5K)
  • Look into Venues that offer package such as tables and chairs, set up and down, and so forth. Even if the venue is a little over the 5k if they offer packages that include some of the other things you would be spending $$ on it might even out a budget and give you room to play.
I'm not having my wedding in high traffic times, however, my venue is outdoor in a beautiful landscaped yard, an amazingly beautiful old home to move into if needed,
    Its just amazing.
Complete with linens, (colors of my choice) plate ware, food, lighting, the hole 9 really. Originally priced at just over 5k but they offer and do everything! i'm paying 3k.
