bachelorette party ideas

hi ladies, so recently moving to vancouver, i have the "privildge" of living close to las vegas and getting cheap hotel packages. on that note, i am also getting sick of hearing my other engaged coworkers taking about their upcoming bachelorette in las vegas, especially since all my friends are in toronto and going to vegas is just a bit more taxing from toronto compared to vancouver.

since i am going to have my bachelorete party in toronto, i wanted to get as many ideas as i can. i do know that i would love to go dancing and get a hotel but apart from that what are other fun things to do except for going to a strip club, a spa or pole dancing lessons. it would be nice to have day and evening ideas. the bachelorette will be in early september

thanks!

Re: bachelorette party ideas

  • there are alot of deals from toronto with hotel and flight combo.  I see them all the time in the newspaper.

If you do it on Labour day weekend, there are a lot of good party's to gmaybe o to.  I was trying to avoid that weekend to get married but I had no choice with the hall.  Besides those things you mentionned, you can go shopping, sky diving, take a boat tour, take a trip up north for the day...maybe to the beach or do a canopy tour.

  • Hipannie - what about high tea with the ladies?  That's a fabulous option here and quite a few places to do it.  Or if funds are an issue with your girls, how about a night in someone's house for a night of movies - make it a theme night like Italy or France.  You could do French wine, French food and French movies, etc.  If you like dancing, try a latin club and go around 9pm.  Almost all of the clubs I've been to will give free latin dancing lessons with real instructors.

What are you looking to do?

<div>My friends took me to Lula lounge for a prix fixe dinner and salsa dancing (lesson included). Only half of us like to drink, so it was a great compromise.</div><div>

You could look for deals in the Niagara area as well... They usually have great ones on Travelzoo.  It'd be cheaper than Vegas and you'd still get casinos & dance clubs.  We went there for my best friend's bachelorette and had a ton of fun.  We started out the night at Peppermints (male strip club) and then went out dancing.

  • I find the guys in Niagara are super aggressive and I'm use to that being from Toronto.  But I can't take the guys in Niagara.  Too much since the boys from the US come over to drink and hope to get laid.

I've heard that about Rumours and .. I can't remember the name of the other place.

We went to Dragonfly and it was an older crowd and had no problems.  That being said.. I didn't like the music (all re-mixes, everything sounded the same).  The best part of the night was Peppermints - it was hilarious.

How was Lula??? My MOH suggested it and it looks like fun!
  • my girls took me to Niagara and we did a wine tour, it was AWESOME!!! we then went back to the hotel, went out for dinner adn then drinks
  • I went a little over-the-top when planning the bachelorette party for my Bride (I'm the MoH). We got some groupons for massages and pedis at Vikaspa in the morning, then we had a belly-dancing lesson at dragonfly bellydance. Dinner at the Sultan's Tent and partying at El Convento Rico (drag queen show!) The next day we went on a Niagara wine tour (niagara vintage wine tours)

I think the bride liked the wine tour best, so you should consider it! At the Sultan's Tent and El Convento we were one of something like 12 bachelorettes! So if you don't want to do what others are doing (" i am also getting sick of hearing my other engaged coworkers taking about their upcoming bachelorette in las vegas") or want to feel like you're the only bride-to-be in the house, then maybe those two stops aren't for you. On the other hand, it does set the tone of the evening and we got along with all the other parties.
