Ceremony and Reception time line

We are still in the very eairly stages of planning our wedding, but we have just booked our church and reception hall. I am a little concerned of the timing of it all. Church Ceronmy: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Coctail Hour: begins at 6 pm. Reception follows I see a few good things coming of this, no one will be in a rush to get from place to place. Some people that got in that day can check into their hotels, and our photographer is going to take wonderful pictures around the area. But I am worried that some guestes will get bored. Any one else doing this? We really don't have any other choice. These are the only times the church and reception hall offer

Weird, I guess I'm lucky our Catholic mass wedidng cermeony is at 6:30 p.m. with the reception directly following from 8-12 that's what my sister did and it worked out nicely. The other time for a wedding at our church was 1:30 and I didn't want to do that, luckily the evening time was open :)
