Directions for out of towners

The Majority of family I have is coming from NJ, Philly, and Upstate PA
From what major road ways do you recommend that I give directions from to get to lancaster City?

NJ and Philly I would give directions from the PA turnpike (Route 76) Unless they are coming from northern NJ.  Then you would give directions from 78 to 222-30.  Upstate PA...maybe the turnpike/322 (state College)???

For your upstate PA guests maybe you could mapquest a couple of their addresses to see the route they give???

Definitely depends on where in upstate PA. Some places you can hit like rt 15 or 125 to 501. Or 81 to just about anything. I'd google map some options to see what major routes are in the area of your up state guests.

The turnpike it easiest from philly/nj. But we personally normally travel route 30 to or from philly/nj. It's more relaxing. I hate the turnpike as far a scenery is concerned. If there is traffic, I recommend extra time on 30.

Upstate PA depends. 81 is heavily traveled upstate. I use it to get to NY, Erie etc...
