Did anyone else write their own prayers of the faithful?

Here's what my parish uses if we don't want to write our own:
That all Christians grow in faithfulness in living the whole truth of the Gospel, let us pray to the Lord,Lord hear our prayer
For the president and all civil leaders that they work for peace, justice and the sanctity of all human life from conception to its natural end, let us pray to the Lord
That Christian families live the power of humility, forgiveness, fortitude, and patience--that all married persons share in the triumph of love exemplified in the power of the cross, let us pray to the Lord,
That __ and ___ know the blessings of friends, of reaching out to the less fortunate, of good health and humble acceptance of God's will, let us pray to the Lord,
For those who suffer in any way, let us pray to the Lord,
For those who have died, especially the relatives and friends of ___ and ___ that they might see the face of God this day, let us pray to the Lord,

Anyone else want to post yours?

    This is what we modified:

    1.  For Pope Benedict XVI, Archbishop Dennis Schnurr, Bishop Joseph Binzer, Father Terry H, and all clergy from all denominations, that they continue to lead believers to a deeper faith in God and a stronger love of others.  We pray to the Lord.

    2.  For C and D, that whether they are experiencing times of happiness or heartache, their love, commitment and dedication towards each other remains resolute and is used as a foundation to help others.  We pray to the Lord.

    3.  For the married couples among us who have been a source of inspiration and encouragement in C and D’s own journey towards marriage.  May you continue to give; be able to forgive; and find the love you hold for each other deepen with the dawn of each new day.  We pray to the Lord.

    4.  For all those gathered here today, that you may continue to support C and D with your friendship and love throughout their marriage and that you will have safe journeys home this evening and always.  We pray to the Lord.

    5.  For all those who are sick in mind, body, or spirit, that they are strengthened by God and aided by their fellow man.  We pray to the Lord.

    6.  For the loved ones of C and D who have gone before them -  especially C’s parents O and M S; D’s father D B – that they, and all the deceased find peace and the fulfillment of all their desires.  We pray to the Lord.

Here are the ones we used:

    1. For our Holy Father on earth, the pope, all the bishops and the clergy everywhere that they may lead us to deeper faith in God and a stronger love for others, let us pray to the Lord.

    2.  For all of those who protect others-- in the military, as police officers and fire fighters-- that God may grant them His protection as they serve their country and community. Let us pray to the Lord. (My BIL is a firefighter so this was very important to us)

    3. For all married people: for those who married yesterday, for the new couple Jared and Lisa married today, and for those who will marry tomorrow, that they may savor the joy of being together, warm love, and children, a long life, wine and friends, and a new day every day, let us pray to the Lord.

    4. For those who have died, especially ________: Grand Parents of the Bride and _________: Grand Parents of the groom and all relatives and friends of those present for this wedding that they may enjoy perfect happiness and total fulfillment in eternal life, let us pray to the Lord.

    5. For those personal needs which we mention now in silence (pause) let us pray to the Lord.

For the love shown here today between this couple and their friends and family, that it may continue to grow and enrich all of our lives, we pray to the Lord.

For all of those who protect others-- in the military, as police officers and fire fighters-- that God may grant them his protection as they serve their country and community, we pray to the Lord.

For all those who are sick, lonely, discouraged or oppressed that they may be strengthen by God and aided by their friends and family, we pray to the Lord.

For Leslie Clay and Lori Wilson, grandparents of the bride, Nancy Smith, cousin of the bride, John Taylor, cousin of the bride, Mike Ruscetti, grandfather of the groom, Ernie and Patricia Johnson, grandparents of the groom and all who have passed before us, may they stand in the presence of God for all eternity, we pray to the lord.

I agree with Lisa. We included the line about military and fire fighters because one of my cousin's is a fire fighter and 2 others in the military.

Ours was... a bit long--we also modified the service to reflect the old Sarum Rite:
In peace, let us pray to the Lord, saying, “Lord, hear our prayer.”

For the peace from above, for the loving-kindness of God, and for the salvation of our souls, let us pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
For the holy Church of God, that it may be filled with truth and love, and be found without fault at the day of your coming, we pray to You, O Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
For all bishops and all the clergy, and for all the holy people of God, we pray to You, O Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
For those who have traveled to be with us today, may they be granted a safe return to their homes, let us pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
For all who fear God and believe in you, Lord Christ, that our divisions may cease, and that all may be one as you and the Father are one, we pray to You, O Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.

For those who do not yet believe, and for those who have lost their faith, we pray that they may receive the light of the Gospel, we pray to You, O Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
For the peace of the world, that a spirit of respect and forbearance may grow among nations and peoples, we pray to You, O Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

For a blessing upon all human labor, and for the right use of the riches of creation, that the world may be freed from poverty, famine, and disaster, we pray to You, O Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
For the poor, the persecuted, the sick, and all who suffer; for refugees, prisoners, and all who are in danger; that they may be relieved and protected. Remembering particularly, our active duty military members here present, A, B, C and D, and our veterans and other public servants, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L, we pray to You, O Lord.Lord, hear our prayer. For ourselves; for the forgiveness of our sins, and for the grace of the Holy Spirit to amend our lives, we pray to You, O Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
For all who have died in the communion of Your Church, and those whose faith is known to You alone, that, with all the saints, they may have rest in that place where there is no pain or grief, but life eternal. Remembering particularly, M, N, O, P, and Q, We pray to You, O Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

Rejoicing in the fellowship of the ever-blessed Virgin Mary, our blessed patron, Saint James, and all the saints, let us commend ourselves, and one another, and all our life to Christ our God.
To you, O Lord our God.
