Longboat Key Club/Resort vs. Lido Beach Resort.

Help! My fiance and I are trying to figure out where to stay on our honeymoon. One of us prefers to stay at the Longboat Key Club, and the other Lido Beach Resort. Any suggestions?

Longboat Key Club is nicer!

Half and half. I'm not suggesting that you shift every night - but you could spend half your time at one hotel, then shift and spend the second half at the other hotel. Sexy time aside, one hotel for all that time would get boring anyway, so shift half way through.

The Lido Beach Resort if more beach resorty. The Key Club is more sophisticated. I prefer the Lido Beach. Not to complicate things, but we rented a cottage on LBK the week after we were married. Our family has a house on the island, but we wanted time to ourselves. We rented at Gulf Cottages, and loved it. But there are a lot of properties available. If you are interestd in something like that, try Cunningham Property Management.
