Ceremony at Niagara Falls

Hi ladies! I am getting married next summer and I am looking to have the ceremony in Niagara Falls. Yes I know that it is the busy season, but I am graduating with my MBA in May and plan on getting a job out of state after I graduate, so I wanted to get married before I moved out of state because it would make life a lot easier. The groom and his family live in NC. I have called the state park asking what I need to do, and did not receive much information. The woman said that they do not allow  tents or chairs for ceremonies, and was very rude when I asked questions. I was wondering what some other people have done for their ceremony in the falls. I know that there are several chapels in the falls, but my mom is insisted that I cannot get married through them, and I will be using my minister( hopefully). I cannot find any info online whatsoever. Thanks!

Since we are having a "glorified elopement" and less then like 30 people, we did ours at the Observation Tower, using http://www.chapelofniagara.com/ .. Diana has been great so far telling me whatever i need to know..

let me know if you wanna know anything else..

I did some research since I wanted to get married by the falls as well and found out there really isn't a good place to. The convention centre/ casino is the only two places I found by the falls.

As a side note I am getting married at Rich's Atrium, they have a foe niagara falls and a little Buffalo theme going for them. It is really neat inside. I would check it out.

There is a small chapel in the State Park right at the falls, but its very small (I want to say it doesn't even hold 20) so would have to be a very private ceremony.  I am getting married in Niagara Falls since we both are from here, but we are not doing the ceremony at the falls itself.  There are too many tourists during the summer (just an FYI if you are planning an outdoor ceremony).  Our ceremony is at my church, then our reception is at the NF Conference Center, which is very close to the falls.  At night you can walk right outside the door and see the fireworks from the falls.

Thanks for your input, but I was looking for more ceremony ideas than reception ideas. We decided on the Tuscarora Inn in Lockport for the reception. (even though it;s a drive we get the place to ourselves, the food is as good as the hottest downtown restaurants, and the wine list is outstanding). I finally got in touch with the woman from the state park. I'm from the WNY area so I'm pretty familiar with the falls( I also went to college in Buffalo, which that means legal drinking at 19 when you're in college.) We're still hammering details down for the ceremony (mainly the minister since many members of my family are active church people, and the minister that I had in mind is unable to perform marriages.) I do thank everyone for their input. we looked at the casino btw and I HATED it. The room that they suggested was and open balcony and all you could hear was the slot machines!  The Crowne Plaza was nice, and had we not found the Tuscaroroa, we probably would have went with them. They were reasonable and the Opal room was gorgeous. Thanks to everyone for their advice!
