Outdoor Reception

Hello,
I am doing a destination wedding and looking to do an at home reception.  We are hoping to the reception in August, and are looking for ideas on where to have our reception. I am looking for someplace outdoors, preferably with a tent or some sort of protection in case it rains.
any recommendations????
I have been told to check out Avanti Mansion and Kloc's Grove.  Any input on either of those 2 places?

I am having my reception at the Marcy Casino in Delaware Park. It is indoors, but it has 2 great outdoor covered patios with a nice views. The Rose Garden in Delaware Park is right behind the building and the patios overlook Hoyt Lake.

Also consider golf courses. They usually have indoor opitions but with outdoor opitions.

Deleware Park is nice for a ceremony but the hall is a bit awkward.  Kloc's is gorgeous outside.  If it's small look at Old Orchard Inn.  If larger and less expensive try Banchetti's.  Also, some country clubs have outdoor patios and such that you can use like Brierwood or Fox Valley.  You could also look into the Lockport Locks (Canalside) There are some good pics on my florists site I was just looking at: www.lipinogaflorist.com check it out, good luck.

any questions let me know, I've been to friends weddings at a few of these places over the years.

note: the rose garden is ugly in spring you have to see it in late summer.

I am getting married at the Avanti Mansion next June! It is beautiful! :-) I would call and talk to Laurie, she is phenomenal! They fill up fast, so your date might be taken already. We went to reserve our date in January and it was already taken for next May, so we had to move it to June. But the place is breathtaking and Laurie works great with you, and the food looks amazing!! Happy Planning!!  :-)

We booked at Klocs for June 2011 and it is Beautiful! Everything outside but covered. We also looked at Avanti but wasnt too impressed with the actual Tent that it would be in, the ceremony site there is beautiful but we choose Klocs because of the reception. You can check on there website they have a few pics up and a friend at work got married there and had the outdoor reception and it looked amazing and she had no problems with them! Good luck!

We had our August 2009 wedding at Klocs grove! It was amazing! Kevin, the coordinator was so great and truly did whatever he  could to make your day perfect. We wanted that outdoor ceremony feel as well, but didn't want to worry about rain. It did sprinkle a little at night but had no idea because of the covered pavilion. The landscaping was beautiful as well - i really can't recommend this place enough. Actually, a couple from our wedding party liked it so much they booked it for their 2011 wedding! If you have any specific questions feel free to ask!
