Chair covers or chair rental

I was planning on having chair covers but since my wedding is on grass(under a tent) I was not sure if they would stain or get messy.  I was considering renting chiviari chairs then but I've heard they cost more.  Does anyone have a reccomendation for either?  Or have you used chair covers outside?

Chiviary chairs will cost you about as much as regular ones with covers, but look so much better. I had outdoor reception and loved them! Since my table linnens were champagne, I also used sashes for more color.
