Looking for a venue...

Hi everyone! We are planning on getting married in April 2014. Ideally, we would like a venue where we can have both the ceremony and reception as well as a hotel on site since we will be having many out of town guests. We have looked at Eagle Rock Resort and really loved it, but we would like to look at a few more venues before making our decision. We plan on looking at Shawnee as well. It seems like in order for us to get everything in one place our only option is the ski resorts. Is there anything we are missing though? We want to keep to a budget of about $15k for about 100-125 guests. We live in the Bethlehem area so anything around this area or towards Philadelphia would work. We are also a laid back couple so we do not want anything stuffy. Any ideas from those of you who are further along in your wedding planning would be very helpful! Thanks in advance

My fiance and I are having our ceremony and reception at the Allentown BrewWorks. They have several rooms to choose from. So far, planning with Wendie has been easy, and our guest count is similar, so your budget would be completely doable.

We had ours at the Stroudsmoor last April and loved every minute of it.  All of the planners are extremely helpful and the place is beautiful!  Not sure if it would work within your budget, but I'm pretty sure they remember giving breaks for Friday and Sunday weddings.  Good Luck!

Not sure why so many people like Stroudsmoor. We looked at it recently and were very disappointed. Everything there is so dated and there seems the be a musty odor in all of the rooms.
