Wedding Shower Venue in Calgary

I'm looking for a cute, relatively inexpensive venue for a friend's wedding shower here in Calgary.  I was thinking along the lines of the Deane House, having tea and snacks, but I think it's fairly pricy there?  They're having a destination wedding in Maui so us BM's would like to keep the cost for the shower/stagette as low as possible.  Any brilliant suggestions?

    Hey,
    Is there a family member with a decent sized house they don't mind hosting? Or what about a community hall? The community hall in Dewinton (yes, out of town) is pretty good or the one in Crestmont is beautiful (big stone building). Crestmont's hall doesn't feel like a community hall at all. I considered it for my reception, actually.

    The other idea is to call up some of the Bride's favourite restaurants and see if they have a separate room you can book. Most places don't charge for renting it as long as they make a certain amount of money or have a certain minimum number of people show up.
