Reception help!!

Has anyone had or been to a ceremony or reception at the Lake Presidential Golf Club, the Marlborough Golf Club (both in Upper Marlboro,MD), or Swan Point Yacht & Country Club located in Swan Point,MD?? They look really nice on websites but would love some feedback from someone whose actually been there. Thanks in advance!

I wish I could say that I'd been there, but honestly, as nice as feedback from other people is, your best bet would be to find a few weekends when you and your fiance could go and visit each location.

Being there will give both of you an idea about the feeling of the space, if you are comfortable there, and how you might want to set things up.  It really is so much different being in a space, especially for something like this, than it is to see pictures or get feedback from someone else.

And even if your best friend were to like some place, it still wouldn't mean that you would like it.  Plus there's always the chance that you can meet some staff or management and if you get talking with them, they might be willing to work something out to tweak the location a bit if it's not 100% perfect.

Good luck.  I hope you do get some feedback, but I really think the best feedback you could have on a location for your wedding & reception is your own.
