DIY parties and get togethers

Hello!

I was wondering if Maryland (DC suburbs) has any get together's for brides to work on DIY projects as a group?  It may be cool to meet other brides too!

My bridesmaids aren't as creative and artistic... So, I feel weird asking them to sit with me and work on my projects!

Anyone has any suggestions?

    Depending on what exactly you are trying to DIY, you may want to check out some local scrapbooking stores. I know they have "Scrap night"- and it's like $30, but you have all kinds of people that come in to use the toolds and stuff, and some of those ladies are craft as hell!!!!!!!!!! Luckily I have two as my friends and they've given me some great ideas and tips. GL!!!!

    I'm in the Baltimore area, but check with Michael's, AC Moore, JoAnn's, etc. They usually have schedules of different projects.  You could probably call to find out something specific, i.e. wedding bouquet, etc.  Good luck!!!
