Bakeries

I e-mailed Sugarbakers Cakes but never got a response. I've read both good and bad reviews on their service.

Anyone have any experience with Sugarbakers?
Where did you go to get your cake?
Did you like the cake tastewise? What about aristically?
Would you recommend them?

    I just posted it on the Maryland, as I'm not dead set on sticking to just the Baltimore area.

    And wow, $150? Some places I looked at were $200 just for a two-tiered cake of the same flavour. I wish I were closer to Elkton. Right now, I'm about an hour and twenty minute drive from there :( But thanks!

    I haven't signed a contract, but after trying some of Sugarbaker's cakes, I'm definitely going there. My mom's a baker and tried tons of samples with me but she would have a fit if I got a cake from anywhere else. Their amaretto signature cake is to die for.

    I've heard great things about Sugarbakers. Why not try just calling them?

    We did a tasting at Sweet Bakery (http://www.sweetbakerycafe.com/wedding-cakes.html) which was delicious! They were in Ellicott City when we went there, but their website says the are moving to Baltimore.

    Sweet is our baker, and they are now in Baltimore.

    I called them to set up my appointment. We had a tasting there and it was really good, but I don't think we are going with them because they're slightly over our budget. That being said, I have been to weddings where they did the cake and everyone seemed to love it. I've heard mostly good things about it!

    We're getting ours from there :) We worked with Jordan... she was super sweet. I can't wait to eat it haha. We did chocolate mousse in the center tier and dolce de leche for the other two!
