Invitations/Save the Dates & Indoor Venues

Okay, first things first: if you send out save the dates, do you also send out invites? And how far before the wedding do you send them out?

Secondly, we're having our wedding in April, so with Washington weather being what it is, we're planning the event indoors. Does anyone know of some lesser-known places for a decent price where we can bring in our own food and seat approximately 200 people?

I really appreciate all input! :)

    I think the recommendation is to send out save-the-dates as soon as possible after you get engaged or decide on a date.  Then about 2 months before the wedding you send out an official invitation

    1) id say send the save the dates out about 6 months prior
    2) invitations id send out about 3 months prior
