HELP! Venue cancelled contract!

Hi!  One of my good friends live in SD and is planning an April 2012 wedding (yes, just months away!)  Her venue emailed her yesterday and said they were cancelling the contract and returning her deposit! 

It was an estate rented for a week.  She is having 60-75 guests- house needs to sleep 8-10 for the week.  Oceanview is a must... and she wants to hold the ceremony and reception outside- so a big yard is a must.

Any suggestions or advice??  TIA!

I'm the Soon to be SIL of the bride from the OP- and that was the venue that cancelled!!  They "forfeited the contract and deposit"!!  Just 4 months before the wedding!!!!
