Fun things to do at a wedding

My fiance and I are hoping to plan a very fun reception that will leave guests thinking, "Wow, that was a really great party!"  Besides the typical "hire a good DJ" and "provide an open bar", what unique things have you seen at weddings that really spiced up the reception?

I've seen the wedding party do a funny choreographed dance like Thrillers.  Or couples who had a funny approach to the garter toss.  I'd also tell your DJ to stick to loud, energetic music throughout the entire reception, especially at the beginning, rather than classical or jazz.  In general, if the B&G are outgoing and fun, everyone else will be, too.

We were thinking about having casino tables at our reception but the venue we picked isn't big enough. Here is where we were going to go through : premiercasinoevents.com

I think photobooths are a lot of fun. Also props that the DJ can give out can also be fun. I went to a wedding where they did casino tables and no one was dancing. It ended up being a huge bust. I think it has a lot to do with your friends not just the things you provide for them. We had a ton of fun and it was mostly because we danced the entire time and hung out with everyone. The photobooth was a HUGE hit too.

I always thought of having ping pong or foozball (sp?) tables.  I thought that would be fun.

Tell the guests that instead of clinking glasses to get us to kiss, we will kiss each time a person or group sings a portion of a love song, or a song that contains the word ‘love’. The DJ can announce that after the introduction. It is A LOT of fun.
