Barn Wedding Ideas!

We are getting married next September at Mulhauser Barn in West Chester Ohio and have no clue how to decorate!  Has anyone all ready held their reception there or been to one and would be willing to share their decorating tip?  We are on a major budget crunch so any affordable ideas would be SO appreciated!

White Christmas lights! Grab them after christmas while they are on clearance, and hang them everywhere. The icicle lights are also gorgeous. You don't even just have to use white, we used blue icicles on black table clothes and it looked great. Here are some pictures of the venue we used, but we added to it.

Also, we bought bulk tulle online and added it over the lights in some places and used it alone in others. We used blue tulle and tied it in place with black tulle bows, and the opposite. My favorite is the one where the jars are hanging from trees with the flowers floating in water. Google mason jar wedding and look at the images, and you will find tons of inspiration. Good luck!

Ohhhhhh I agree with pp about the lights and tulle. We have been to two weddings there and it can look really bare with no decor on those railings inside. White tulle with white strand lights inside drapped over the railing and balcony area would look romantic. Add some flowers and it would be stunning! Same with the deck on the outside. Wow that would be pretty in the evening too!

Paper lanterns look great too.  We're also doing a barn event and I've seen lots of nice ideas on the Style Me Pretty site.  There are also lots of Google images out there for barn weddings.  Good luck!
