Are you using one? How long did it take them to get  you ANY information....? Mine is taking FOREVER..or I'm inpatient....I started talking to a different and I haven't heard from her in almost 2 weeks....and the initial one I haven't heard from in almost a month...is this normal?

no, this is not normal.  you deserve to work with someone who will dedicate their time and energy to you and make sure you get a great trip.  i used jennifer at vip travel because she was so highly recommended on this board.  she emailed me back within a day.  she has been so helpful and answered all of my questions right away.  and as a bonus, she was free because she gets kick backs from the resorts rather than customers like us.

That's what i thought ....thanks...it's just really weird...we went to the first travel agent...she was great...said she was call in a few days...almost 2 weeks later I emailed her to follow up and she got back to me that same day but with one quote that was way out of our price range...then I waited to hear back,....and it's been almost 3 weeks....about a week ago I contacted 2 other travel agents via email...they both got back to me the same day....but I haven't heard back from them regarding anything else....so weird.

The first agency I contacted never responded to me, so I called another place. Although an agent there got in touch with me and helped us out, it was a disaster... we were thisclose to not having plane tickets 3 days before we left. I don't think I'll ever use a TA again. I've found great deals online and have always had good experiences when I booked on my own.

Not sure where you are looking to go for your HM, but I love my travel agent and I recommend her all the time, especially if you're looking to go to the South Pacific.  Caroline@easyescapestravel.com.

Not normal at all! Contact Elise with Beach Bum Vactaion. She always got back to me within 24 hours at the longest.... and it was usually more within the hour!!!

Nope - ours is awesome. She has sent me literally like 20 emails back and forth today alone and I've talked to her on the phone. She answers emails at like 11pm if I have random questions. WONDERFUL. myislandvacations.com - Nancy Finn.

We are using Rhonda from Travel by VIP (she is a Hawaii specialist) and she is amazing!!!  Unbelievably responsive - I receive emails at all hours and on the weekends!  If you are going to Hawaii, I would definitely call Rhonda.

WOW thanks...it's odd that every place I've contacted has been so slow in getting back to us....we are thinking of a Med. Cruise, French Riviera, Portugal or Italy...we are getting married in Novemeber so the weather will be perfect for us...we are not beach people...
I'll wait a few more days and see who it all goes I guess.
