Please help! Cheap New England honeymoon?

FI and I are getting married June 9, 2012. We're trying to plan a honeymoon for pretty cheap - like under $1000 hopefully. We really want to do New England, somewhere on a beach. Any recommendations? What to do when we're there? Just any advice at all would be helpful.

Maine is very expensive in the summer, it is "Vacationland" after all! Generally in June, it's warming up but can have spurts of rain and not to perfect weather! If you're in Texas already, maybe consider a cruise leaving from a close port? I just saw a four day cruise for $129 (the same one I paid $399 for!)
