Whenever I've travelled out of the country before (to Europe), I've always gotten some local currency so I had it when I arrived. Is this necessary for an all-inclusive - specifically in the DR? We've paid for everything up front and have the hotel/airport transfers. We don't plan on leaving the resort and if we do, it would be for a excursion booked through the hotel.
Should we get some currency for tips? I don't want to be that *sshole American couple that tips in US funds if this isn't acceptable. But I also noticed that our tourist card can be paid for in US funds so I'm a little confused.
Thanks ladies!
