Ceremony: Omaha Community Playhouse (outside in Drew Plaza) A+ The site coordinator Lora Kaup was AMAZING! She was so helpful and calmed me down when I was nervous. She answered my endless questions and actually tied me into my dress. She helped make me ceremony site exactly how I wanted it!
Reception: Dave and Busters A. Heather Smith was amazing. She answered my questions quickly and even met with me numerous times bc I had so many questions. The food was great and the wait staff was so attentive! I am a little partial but it was the best reception I have ever been to lol. We ate, had cake and played games all night long.
Officiant: A++ Stacey Brewer with Lifetime Ceremonies. WOW is all I can say! She wrote our ceremony for us based on 3 questions she asked each of us and thoughts I gave her. It was perfect for us!! Could not have been happier! (btw we had Dr. Seuss vows and the Princess Bride wedding quote at the beginning)
Dress: Davids Bridal. B While I don't like the fact that you have to make an appointment to go try on dresses I understand. The lady who helped me was a little snarky with me and the woman who ordered my bra looked down my dress, my dress was perfect and i got a million compliments on it (2 of the friends even offered to buy it from me lol)
Cake: Janae's Custom Creations. A. We told her a gist of what we wanted on she made a beautiful and delicious cakes for us. My husband is gamer and he said he wanted a cake from a game. She searched the internet high and low for a recipe and picture in order to make it perfect and it was!
Alterations:Kim from the perfect dress B I got a little sticker shock when I saw the price for just a bustle and hem bc i thought she quoted me something smaller but quickly realized I was mistaken. I only had 1 fitting which really worried me but it came out amazing
invitation/STD's: Vistaprint B I loved their prices and ease of designing but after ordering from them 4 times for my wedding I still have no clue where to put the promo codes. They send you a lot of 25% off coupon with each order.
Rehearsal Dinner: At OCP with Lo Sole Mio catering by the pan A+ It worked out perfect and everyone just loved the food!
Hair and makeup: Lars (who will soon be at J Kauble salon on 72nd and Harrison) A+ he is a genius! I did not know what I wanted for my hair and I never wear makeup so I had no clue what to do for makeup and he made me look like a princess and he did beautiful airbrush makeup on me
Tuxes Men's Warehouse Oakview. C. The lady that measured my son made his pants high waters and ordered a mens tie, suspenders and vest but it got fixed. The woman that was at the husband and sons final fitting wore a dress so short that i swear it belonged no where but in a strip club! I have no respect for a company that lets their employees wear something like that! The tuxes did look very nice on my boys though
Rentals: #1 Rental City A. I did not like that they only gave me one day for my rental (I'm spoiled with #2 giving the whole weekend lol) but they made the return so painless I was shocked! They saw me coming and had already finished the check in process by the time I walked though the door. # 2 Honeyman rent-all A- I have rented from them before so I am used to them but I wanted a pitcher that they either didnt carry or i didnt like. If you rent for the weekend you can pick it up on FRiday and return it Monday for a one day price.
Nails Chic Nails at Oakview B I got solar nails but they used a acrylic nail for part of it (i am not used to that. I am used to them just using the pink and white powder but they look beautiful.
Photography Stribley Photography A+++++ I could not have been more happy about her service!!! She was amazing! she not only took pictures but there were times when tiny things needed to be done and she stepped in and helped. She was so attentive to what we wanted and made sure numerous times that we got all the shots we wanted of each aspect of the wedding/reception. She was soooo affordable and she just gives you the cd and all the rights so that you can print pictures for 80 cents for an 8x10 instead of charging $80! Plus she will have it to us in a week
Music Violinist Kathryn Cooper. A. She is a very experienced musician! She has been playing since she was 8 i think and she did not bat an eyelash at any of the songs I asked her to play. She was very nice and affordable.
