Bridesmaid dress issue.

My Maid of honor will be 9 months pregnant during my wedding....

So excited for her!!! She just better not pop while I am on my honeymoon or we will be cutting that short...

ISSUE. Can not find a bridesmaid dress that also comes in maternity that I actually like! UGH! HELP!!!! The selection is very limited. We've thought of ordering her dress regular non maternity just last minute a couple sizes larger and just having it altered to fit but the saleswomen at Alfred Angelo advised against it strongly... PLEASE any one with previous experience send your advice this way....

have you tried regular (meaning not from a bridal shop) maternity dresses?

What are you looking for, fabric, style etc? One of my bridesmaids is pregnant, and we picked the dress we did for that reason, it has an empire waist so she can be comfortable. Granted she isn't 9months.

I agree with PP though, you might do best looking at non bridal and try to find something in a maternity store.

Here is a non-maternity option from DB.  I think it is a pretty dress and looks better in person.  I was in a wedding last summer and one of the other BM's chose this dress.

I guess my biggest question is if anyone has experience with the actual ordering and seamstress altering of the dress for the pregnant bridesmaid
