Flowers in season for December wedding?

I'm starting to set appointments with florists and i'm finding that flowers are crazy expensive!!! I wanted to spend $1k and it looks like it may have to go up to almost $3k because of my guest list and wedding party. I have 14 in wedding party and 22 guest tables. I'm definitely heading towards the DIY route.

Where in Central Florida are you? I am in east Orlando and getting married in Winter Springs. I found a great florist that is reasonably priced and delivers for a nominal fee ($15). The place is called Artistic Orlando Florist, check out their website:
    http://www.artisticorlandoflorist.com/

I was able to get a bridal bouquet, two toss bouquets, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 8 boutonnieres and 7 corsages for under $500.  I did all white roses which are ALWAYS in season. I picked them because I'm getting married in May and they are sturdy to withstand the heat outside. I really recommend them.

I'm not doing flowers for my centerpieces though, I went another route and decided on big martini glasses with floating candles.  Artistic Orlando Florist had some beautiful centerpieces though as well!

    I can also recommend:
http://www.sbreezeentertainment.com/ - for centerpiece rentals, they have a lot of stuff and do all the setup etc, ive worked with them on cakes as well and they are excellent!
www.save-on-crafts.com - tons of stuff for DIY everything and very reasonable!

    Good luck!
