Destination wedding off of a cruise ship

we're getting married in January in Barbados which is the first port on our Royal Caribbean cruise. Has anyone done this before, e.g. do it yourself in a port?

    Come on over to the Destination Weddings board - there are a handful of cruise brides there who might be able to give you great advice.
