Ideas on decorating a tress

Hi there,
I am getting married in September and we are having a destrination wedding in South Africa.  We are getting married under a tree and I was looking for ideas or suggestions on how to decorate the tree.

    One thing I've seen many times is to hang paper lanterns in the tree or to string it with white twinkle lights. Ribbons might be nice too because they'll sway in the breeze.
