My ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on a rooftop garden. I want to decorate the cocktail tables and bar with red votive candles. My DOC mentioned that the wind might blow out the candles. I was wondering if anyone has used real candles outdoors? I was thinking that putting tea lights in the votive holders might protect it from the wind, since the flame will be low down. I could also use fake LED candles for the roof and real candles indoors. The LEDs are pricier than regular candles. So, I thought I would ask your advice. Has anyone had experience with candles outdoors?
