Light blue wedding dress...color confusion!

I have a strapless floor length wedding gown in a subtle light blue color.  It has a lot of bright white lace on it that pops, especially on the gorgeous train.  I love (and own) the dress...and other than that I am stumped.

Bridesmaid dress colors?
Bouquet colors?
My shoes... white or a color?

Ceremony will be in the ballroom of an 1850s estate, and reception at a different location, similar vibe.  July wedding in Indiana.  I love succulent bouquets, billy buttons, and mustard yellow.  My interests are not cohesive.  Succulents would look strange with my more formal lace-embellished dress.  Billy balls though.....

I wish I had pics of the dress to post but I don't.  Any ideas for a light-blue-friendly color palette would really be helpful at this point.  Thanks a gazillion in advance!  Sam

I think yellows would look good with the light blue dress.  Your dress sounds pretty, you need to get a pic!  Here are some inspiration boards that came to mind for color at least!

A warm chocolate brown would also be a good complementary color for your bridesmaids' dresses.  I think you'll just have to try different color shoes with the dress.  Personally, I'd likely stay away from dark colors.  But its probably best to bring home different colors/styles shoes ...

Mustard yellow with a subtle blue would be gorgeous.

I also think that yellow or brown would look good. It might sound silly, but I suggest going to the hardware store and picking up those paint color strips. You can lay the papers next to the dress to see what colors go best with it.

I've seen a wedding with white BM dresses, they had sashes that matched the decor, I think they were a very dark blue.....anyway it looked great!  Here's a pic.

Oh I have to agree with the white or cream color dresses. Please post pics of your dress when you can...sounds gorgeous!

I would be inclined to go with darker blue bridesmaids dresses. Take your dress color and go many hues darker for the bridesmaids. Use bright yellow flowers to "pop" against the blue background of the dresses. Because your dress is lighter it will stand out among the maids' dresses.

Love the white tea length dress idea with blue shoes. I think a blue sash would also be delightul especially with yellow bouquets. Loving where this thread is going!
