My wedding is almost here and I just found this board!

Hi everyone! I can't believe I just found this board with only a month to go until my wedding. It would have been super helpful 6 months ago! I'm getting married September 12th, 2009 at Weiderkehr Winery in Altus, AR. As far as the "vineyard" theme goes, we're having wine bottle centerpieces, cork escort card holders, and our invites were wine themed. The room our reception will be held in has all kinds of delightful antique winery stuff - old barrels, signs, etc. It's pretty awesome. Anyway, good luck everyone! Amelia

Hi Amelia!Sounds great - I like the little wine themed details.  I'm going to tour vineyards on Saturday so we'll be able to choose one and set the date.  So exciting!Are you doing any wine themed favors?  I have seen a few good ideas like wine stoppers but I'm not sure what we'll end up doing.  Also, did you DIY invitations?  I want to do wine themed invites also, but I haven't seen much in the way of DIY.  Talk to you soon!Emily

Hi Emily! Thank you! I can't wait! As for favors, we're actually doing a candy buffet. Our colors are dark purple (lapis from DB) and lavender so we are doing candies in those colors. I wanted to do bottles of wine from the winery we're getting married at, but it wasn't in our budget. As for the invites, we did DIY them. I guess I should have said they were more grape themed than wine themed. *lol* Check out www.formal-invitations.com. We got all our supplies there. We used dark purple cardstock, the printable vellum, and the grape charms. Then we stamped the envelopes with a wax seal with a grape imprint. HTH! Let me know if I can be of any more assistance. Congrats on your winery wedding. I hope everything goes as smooth as a nicely aged cabernet franc We're also doing cork escort cards. For favors we're giving a wine stopper/wine opener set. I found some wine themed invites on wedding paper diva we're thinking of using. We may use wine papers for the cake display and escort card table.

Ooo I almost went with the Wedding Paper Divas wine invitations. They are absolutely gorgeous! My sister used Wedding Paper Divas for her invitations and they came out really lovely, so I'm sure you will not be disappointed!
