Gown Preservation Suggestions?

I'm trying to figure out what to do about preserving my gown.
Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
Places to avoid?

    I know that my seamstress Reene (pronounced re-knee) preserves dresses.  I didn't have mine preserved though.

    I went with Renee & loved the presentation of the dress.  It came in a box with a display window so I could still see the dress & I was able to put little knick knacks in as well - invitations, STD, reception menu etc.

    It cost me under $200 but she said it also depends on the style/size of the dress.

    Renee did my alterations. I didn't know she did preservations as well.
