dad-daughter dance

Im going crazy trying to figure out what i should do for our father-daughter dance! I realize that most people do a cheesy/ mushy slow song. But that is not the relationship me and my dad have. I really want to do a Merengue song!

Should I do it? Im not even sure what songs would be good for our dance.
Any suggestions?

Your idea sounds great! You could do a dance medley with a mix of songs. It would be so cute! Check this video out. It's from a quince party and they used different merengue songs (Fulanito - Club Latino Salsa Merengue Mix 2006)

If the songs are too long you can pick a short one. Here are a few I found:

    "Baile el beeper" Oro Solido
"Ta Buena" El Prodijio featuring Magic Juan
    "Morena Ven" Los Hermanos Rosario
    "Suavemente" Elvis Crespo
    "El Tiburon" Proyecto Uno

si no bailas conmigo   by Juan Luis Guerra is sweet and slow and not too saccharine like
"All I want is for you to be happy And, take this woman and make you my family And, finally you have found someone perfect And, finally you have found Yourself." -RHCP image
