I am newly engaged as of New Years Eve! My fiancé and I just came home from a trip to Hawaii. We spend 4 nights in Honolulu and then went on a 7 night cruise around the island. In either case, my story begins on the eve of New Years. It was at the top of Diamond Head State Monument in Honolulu, HI.
We hiked (and I am NOT a hiker) about a mile up to the top and since this it was so crowded up there (and by up I mean about 8,000 ft high), he wouldn't stop bugging me about going over the safety rails to "better pictures without people in them", so after a slight battle (since I just wanted to leave at this point), I went. We went over and he began to set up the camera. We recently bought this new camera for Christmas so he was obsessed with it and since it was just us two, we would use a tripod to take pics of us.
He began to set it up but since we've always done this for every picture we've taken, it wasn't out of the ordinary. He actually began recording just to say "hi" to our family and friends at home (something we always did too). HE began and the rest is shown below! I was shocked but am so incredibly grateful ♥ I don't know if it shows in the video, but he was holding on for dear life lol it was a long way down! The view at the top was absolutely amazing (and windy), as well as something I will never ever forget for as long as I live!
