Are there anyone currently in Nursing School on this board? I've been trying to search for forums on this board but no luck. Just wanted to say hi and see how far along everyone was.

I am in Nursing school! I am in my second semester of 3rd year. One year to go! What area is everyone interested in? I want to be an OB nurse for sure.

I love L&D!! OB was what I've enjoyed the most... also Mental Health, but OB is my passion!

Hi I am a nursing student. Senior year! I graduate in Dec. My L&D rotation starts next week and I am excited. I know for sure I want to do Peds tho. I have so much going on but it is super fun. I find myself looking at dresses when I'm supposed to be studying LOL! This is a great year for me. This semester ends in May. Wedding in Aug and graduation in Dec!! Good Luck to everyone

I am graduating in December as well- I was accepted to a fast-track program so I start my 4th year in May and go straight to December. I loved Peds, but my heart broke when I seen kids that were seriously sick There are many children in my area with cancer, so that part was heartbreaking. OB is my passion though Hopefully I can find a job in that area when I'm done lol. Good luck everyone with the rest of your semester

A second time nursing student here...been an RN since '04 but back for my BSN now.  Not taking classes over the summer due to the werdidng and honeymoon...and just scheduled my last 2 classes for the Fall...then graduating in December!

I am just finishing  up with the CNA prgram, a pre-req, for the college that I am going to.

I am going to be applying this coming fall for the Fall of 2011 class. 

It does give me some hope that there are so many ladies trying to get this done, work, and plan a wedding!!

I graduate in August with my RN!  But I'll be jumping right back into school for my BSN (Maybe MSN).  I also love OB.  I work there now as a nursing assistant and I love it, I'm also doing my OB rotation in school now too. Good luck to everyone!

I'm a LPN myself in the BSN program. Everyone thought I was crazy when I decided for a 2010 wedding too! We got engaged Jan 09 and I wanted a summer wedding so I opted to wait a year. Everyone assumed I would wait until 2011.

I'm in my 2nd semester of a 2 year program... I agree... its definitely quite hard to study when all I can think of is escort cards or shoes or transportation... yikes!!!

I'm hoping to go right into my masters in FHNP!

I am in an ADN RN program, too. We're at mid-term of our second semester!!!! I will graduate in May 2011 and we're planning the wedding for July 2011. I would much rather be planning wedding stuff instead of having my nose in a book ALL THE TIME, but, it'll be worth it, i will just be really busy over the summer.

Hi there! I'm in my second semester and should be dont by may of next year. Our wedding is in september 2011 so hopefully all goes well. I kinda feel like extra stressed to get everything done on time bc of the wedding but if it doesn't happened we will figure it out. Not sure yet what I wanna get into after graduation but I still have time to decide! Good luck in school!

I'm in my third year of nursing school. I'm graduating May 14, 2011 and getting married September 10, 2011. Hopefully, the rest of this year and the next year fly by! Good luck to everyone in school

I am also a nursing student.  I am and LPN in an RN program graduationg in December.  I already have a bachelors degree in applied health science and I have talk to a couple of schools about masters programs so hopefully I will be starting one of those after the wedding.  My fiance is in med school now and will be starting a residency after we are married so I figure he will be working like 80 a week so masters program will keep me busy.  I am not into OB or mental health like most of the rest of you.  I like surgery and ER.  Debating nurse anesthetist or nurse practitioner possibly in the ER.  It is hard planing a wedding in school because my school is 2 hours away from where my wedding is going to be.  However I have been engaged for a year and a half and I have a year left so I have gotten quite a bit done in that time and I have quite a bit of time left.  Good Luck everyone!

very hard to stay focused on classes with all the engagement excitement! it's been especially hard this quarter because i'm in psych, and not really enjoying it. Planning my engagement party has been MUCH more exciting!
