A different British wedding

So I'm checking out The Independent, and saw the notice that one of the Miliband brothers just got married. For those not up on British politics, there are 2 brothers named Miliband who are among the top of the Labour party in the UK. Ed actually leads the party, but they were both in the running last time around.

Anyway, Ed just got married. He and his partner have been together for years, with 2 children. Read the whole story here, but I think it will sound familiar to a lot of us:
The couple decided not to have a best man at the wedding – despite the younger Miliband carrying out that duty for his brother – or bridesmaids. The only speeches were delivered by the Labour leader and his new wife, who will use her maiden name in her professional life as a barrister.

Mr Miliband said that they wanted their wedding day to be appropriate to a couple in their 40s who already have children.
Yeah well I bet their marriage isn't valid!  It won't be long now before the Wedding Police show up to rip up their documentation!

hehe - I was almost seduced by the cuteness of the ribbon wands!  I mean how awesome to have them blowing with the ocean breezes...

until I looked at the cost of them on etsy.  And really thought about how much time/energy it would take to DIY...

I'm saving my money for the tequila!
