So I don't watch much TV, and everyone else may already be aware of this. But the other day my scooter vendor sent an email that there was going to be a local ride in support of a new movie, Larry Crowne.
http://www.larrycrowne.com/ {warning--plays music when you load, I hate that}
But it looks to me like it's really about someone reinventing themselves after a certain age--it's described as this in the promo I got:
Oscar ® winners Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts reunite for a dramatic comedy about how the hard knocks from today's recession inspire one everyday guy to undergo a personal reinvention: Larry Crowne. The simple guy who has every reason to think his life has stalled will come to learn an unexpected lesson: when you think everything worth having has passed you by, you just might discover your reason to live.
Looks cute, an unusual setup, and scooters!! Can't wait.
EDIT: just realized it was also co-written by Hanks and Nia Vardalos--who I think has a great sense of story. Yay!
