Well my mother was supposed to have a mastectomy this week. Turns out, the EKG before the biopsy was "abnormal". Why wasn't that looked at carefully before the prior surgery? She will be having two stress tests this week instead.
Her first mass was 7.3cm and I want the rest of this monster removed before it goes any further. She lives 1 1/2 hours away and the hospital is tiny (40 beds) and also serves the Amish, I don't feel like they are up to the minute on everything. I'm sure the surgery will go OK but I live 20 minutes from Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals which have excellent cancer centers. She won't be able to have her chemo at Pomerene Hospital so she may end up at a CC facility.
I'm am doing my best to be positive, we will get through this.
