St Augustine Publix cake

Do you know if the quality varies by location?  As anyone had a good experience at a particular Publix in St Augustine for their cake?

    We got our cake from the Anastasia Plaza Publix. Our tasting was quick and our order was simple (limited decorations), but they did a nice job and people are still raving about the cake. We had yellow cake with buttercreme frosting with the strawberry filling that included fresh strawberries. For the top cake layer we have in the freezer we went with just yellow cake and buttercreme frosting.

    A cheaper option might be a smaller cake to cut, then have a sheet cake in the back that your caterers cut up and serve.

    I really recommend Classic Cakes in Jacksonville. Carol has been a dream to work with, the cake is AMAZING, and came in WAAAY under budget. I've since read that they're only pennies per slice more than the Publix cakes, and worth every penny. We loved the cake so much we've ordered cupcakes as our late night snack!
