White and Ivory Clash?

The theme of our wedding is technically Black and White, but for our centerpieces we are alternating lanterns and mum pomanders. The pomanders are going to be made of silk flowers. Personally, I think fake flowers look at lot more realistic and natural in an of white has opposed to a stark bright white. Do you think it would clash if the pomanders where Ivory if the linens are white?

No I think it will look beautiful.  I agree that fake flowers look more real when they are off white as well.  And if your reception is in the evening the lighting will be different too so people may not even notice that there is a difference between the flowers and the linens.

Ditto to PP.  It will make it look more natural because white flowers in nature are rarely pure white.  To really make it so guests really can't tell the difference, I would suggest elevating the pomanders off the table.  You could use a multitude of different things you would just need something to separate the pomander from the table top.  I am also doing lanterns on a white table cloth with more ivory colored flowers, but I am using 3 flat stone slabs (used for stacking to make garden walls) stacked with two on the bottom and one on the top to separate the white and ivory colors.  If they aren't right next to each other, no one will notice the slight difference.
