timeline for vendors

Hi ladies,

My bff is getting married in Atlantic Beach on May 25, 2013. As a huge fan of the Knot, I'm trying to help her get started (she just set the date and place). I live in and got married in New Jersey, which is INSANE as far as booking vendors, so I need your help. What is the timeline for booking vendors down there? Should she start right away or does she have a few months?

    I would start ASAP. While I don't live in Florida either we are getting married in Saint Augustine in June. We are getting married on a Thursday so I haven't had any problems but I know a lot of my vendors have said they already have numerous bookings for the summer of 2013. Obviously some of the smaller things can wait but the larger things like photography, band, flowers, etc she might want to go ahead and look into and at least have booked by January/February. Hope this helps!
