color of dress vs. linens

What color should we choose to go with dark pupple when the dress is A Maggie Sorterro ivory. Should the linens be white or ivory?

    It doesnt really matter, dont try and match your dresses with the decor, unless we are talking napkin color. And even there they dont have to be spot on. No one will be looking at your linens and seeing if they match.

    For my personal choice I'd go with white just because it looks crisper, but you want to look at your theme, and what kind of look you are going for.

    It does not matter one bit. I would also just go with standard white because it's crisper. Even if you attempt to use cream, there are so many shades that the chances of it being the exact one are pretty slim. Trust me, in the dim reception hall lighting, NOBODY will notice or care.
