How far in advance should you book a makeup artist? What is the normal time?

    It really depends on when your wedding is and who you are attempting to book.  If you have a date in mind, contact an artist and ask them how likely they are to fill up and when the earliest is that you should book.

    I used (and highly recommend) Jamie Edens.  She didn't collect my deposit until the day of my trial, so there was no harm at all in booking her early.

    If you are working with a popular makeup artist then the earlier the better, I would say at least 6 months in advance would be best.
