I'm so excited - booked our honeymoon!

We will be going to Sandals Grande St Lucia for 8 nights!

I can't wait!

    Some friends of mine did that for their honeymoon and they LOVED it. They still rave about it, 3 years later. :)

    We have been thinking of going specifically to St Lucia and also booking at a Sandals in the Caribbean.  How did you decide to book at that Sandals?  Did you get a good deal or special pricing?

    lcarp - Well, couldn't afford my first honeymoon choice (Tahiti) so I guess St Lucia looked cheap in comparison :).  We were in St Lucia for a day on a cruise last year and I had a tough time deciding what to do for that day since everything sounded great.  So I wanted to go back.  Mostly picking that Sandals was just through reviews and info on tripadvisor.  Originally I was thinking of splitting time between one of the resorts near the Pitons and the Sandals, but decided not to.  Not sure if its a great price or not - travel kind of stinks, long flights and 2 stop overs.  But we are flying into the closer airport to the resorts, so we don't have the 2 hour drive afterwards.  the travel agent I booked with added a dinner on the beach that was nice...

    Hey Amy-

    Thanks for the info.  That is what we were struggling with!  The flights to get there from PHX are miserable!  But, we were looking at Fiji and Tahiti too... you are right, the travel and expense to go to those islands is much worse.  I think that the value you get with sandals resorts is amazing, it is just biting the bullet and doing it!

    I warned fiance that I want Tahiti for an anniversary trip :).  I think the key is to hit a good sale or something there.

    Yeah, I agree.  We dive as well, so having that included too helps a ton :)
