Recommended photographers?

Hi!  We've moved on from venue shopping to looking for an affordable photographer.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was looking at Nelson's Weddings online.  Does anyone have any experience with them?

TIA!

    I'm using Kym Ventola: http://ventolaphotography.com/

However, photography was a splurge of ours. She worked with our budget, and since we are getting married on a Sunday and our wedding is small, the price was a lot lower than she originally quoted on the first phone call. Her packages also come with an engagement session. I just really loved her stuff so I really wanted to work with her...and she is easy going to the nth degree & delightfully quirky! Our engagement session came out really amazing, so I know she will do great with the wedding! Worth a gander!

Our officiants, whose daughter had just gotten married, recommended Iris Creative Photography.

We liked her pics and she was very friendly at our initial meeting with her so we went ahead and booked her.

After doing an engagement session with her, we are very excited to see how the pics for the wedding turn out. FI and I are normally NOT very photogenic at all and we loved our engagement pics :)

Her prices are very reasonable and she is willing to work with you on price / tailoring packages to what you really need.

I love my photographer. We havn't taken pics with her yet, but her work is stunning and her prices are incredible!! Her name is Ivy and her website is www.picchickonline.com.  She has pretty much a 5 star rating on Wedding Wire too, which makes me feel even better about her!

Our photographer is Danielle Daigle.  Her site is www.danielledaigle.com
She's very friendly, made us feel comfortable at our engagement session right away and her prices are VERY reasonable.  Photography was an important thing for us, but I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg.  I think she does great work!

I love our photographers!  Arizona Sphinxx Photography, Christina and Cliff are a husband wife team.  They've been shooting weddings for about a year now, so they are just starting out.  But very talented and I felt very affordable.  HTH :)

This was the hardest vendor for me to choose.  Photographer prices range from $1000 and below to over $5000.  And, those prices include different things.  From what I saw, no 2 people had the same package, so it was hard to compare "apples to apples" if you will.  For example, you can get packages with album, however, the album quality is very different from one photographer to the next and that will effect prices.

I did not meet with Nelson's weddings.  However, what I would recommend is figuring out your budget and then meeting with people that are in your range.  For me photography was our splurge.

Our Photographer is Drew Brashler.  We just had our engagement pictures and were very impressed!  He was also very flexible with his packages.  We were able to add and delete from them to fit our needs.

Albums were very important to us.  He has very nice albums, which I found was difficult to find!

    Good Luck!

I love Nelsons!  We had our engagement session with John in January and it was so much fun!  The pictures turned out so well, we had a hard time picking favorites for Save The Date cards and invitations.  John's wife, Tammy, handles the business side and she's great to work with.  She always responds to my emails quickly and doesn't seem to mind my unending questions.  I uploaded a few of our engagement pictures to my profile, I hope you can see them.

We are using Chadwick Fowler from Modern Wedding Scenes. He is phenominal - a real artist, very personable, and worked to put together a package for us that had everything we wanted and within our budget.

I really love Sam & Angelika from www.unforgettablepictures.com
They're really fun to work with and their prices are very reasonably.  They always work together and shoot from two different angles/views. So far, I had my engagement pics taken, and looking at the result, they are the best!
