Photos by Rick (Tinley Park)

Has anyone ever used Photos by Rick before? I went to the Tinley Bridal expo and was pretty impressed with their "photo journalism"  book  but was floored when I saw that a 70 page flush  mount book with  2 20 page parent books, a photo cd  ( & 2 photogs to shoot for the day) was 6,000$.  I had planned on spending a good amount on location and photographer but I wanted to know if anyone used them before, especially for the photo journalism package and see if its really worth the money... Or if anyone has an alternative places (NO blue muslin backrounds PLEASE )  in the south burbs that are pretty creative and have a phenominal website or something to that degree, i'm open to any suguestions.  South burbs refering from oak lawn  to joliet.  (rock island line)

Most photogs will travel to the south side fom Chicago - I got married in Orland and had the reception in Tinley and used Matt Schademann - for the whole day, with all the 4x6 proofs, and high res digital negatives it was $2450 - this included a 30 page book.  We upgraded to a flush mount book and added pages and got three more clone flush mount parents albums (1 12x 12 and 2 10 x 10) and it cost about an additional $2000 - so right around $5K for everything.  Here's an example of a couple of the pages he put together for us.http://i33.tinypic.com/29eg38i.jpghttp://i36.tinypic.com/13zmnnr.jpghttp://i37.tinypic.com/2zfr678.jpg

our photogrpaher is a lot less than that and didn't make us sign an album contract. we paid a flat rate for 8 hours with 2 photographers, and later on if we want we have the option to get albums which are around $1500 i believe. her name is heather parker and she is mentioned a lot on here and it is heatherparker.com/blog the one that you can see the weddings on.

Photos by Rick tok my Photos back in 2003. Rick is very professional. He has away of making people smile. We have a large family and he took a huge group photo and it turned out great. Our proofs were ready for us when we came back from our honeymoon. We were gone about two weeks. We bought the more expensive album and everyone who has ever seen it loved it and wanted to know who took our pictures.
