We did ours at the Riverwalk in Naperville in the fall and they turned out GREAT!

Don't know what are you are in and where you are looking thought, we might be able to help more if we know what part of Chicago or Burbs you are looking at?

Also, if you have a Photog, they may have some suggestions of places they have used before that worked well?!

We went to Olive Park in Chicago to get a mixture of park, beach, skyline and urban shots all in one location.

Agree with pp that your photog should have some recommendations based on the type of shots you would like.

We did ours at the Chicago Cultural center and along the lake front and they were beautiful.

Are you doing them indoors or outdoors?

We did ours at Lincoln Park Zoo. The conservatory area was great for indoor pictures with a lot of greenery and flowers. You can allso get great skyline pictures near the farm area

We took pictures by the Art Institute's garden area, around the Loop/train, and then Kinzie Street Bridge (has a cute skyline view too).

Just another suburban suggestion--we're 90% sure that we're doing ours at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle in May-ish.  You need a photo permit to take pictures, but it's beautiful and it's where we got engaged so it's extra special to us!  Have fun wherever you decide to go!

Mike and I were talking about our favorite date places and both said the first place that made us happy (that was not in Hawaii, lol.) Sox games! In the spring time, we and our delightful photographer are going to a game. We're going to have some fun with our shots, and our photographer loved the idea. He's a Cubs fan, but will deal. :) Plus then, we can eventually start ordering beers and get to really talk wedding shots for the big day while our fave players hit a homer!

We're planning on doing ours at the theological library on the U of C campus. Our photographer recommended it when we said we love libraries and books.
