Makeup in Kona/Big Island

Hi ladies!  I think I'm one one of the few Big Island brides out there!  Does anyone have any recommendations for a makup artist in kailua-kona?  We're getting married on 12/31/12 and this is one of the last decisions I have left to make...and also the one that I seem to be struggling the most with:)

I am getting married on the Big Island in 2013 so I don't have personal experience but I did email several people in the Hilo area and they seemed very friendly so far.  NOt sure if Hilo is too far for you in Kona though?

<div>Im a Kona/Big Island bride as well! I'd also love to know some reccs for this location. The only two I came across are based in Oahu and just willing to fly over...but would rather find someone local so that there are no extra fees <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></div>

I am also considering the Big Island. Where are you having your ceremony/reception? We will have about 25 guests, and were thinking maybe a restaurant for dinner.

    Hi,

    I used

    Sonja Soun

She was recommended by a fellow Knottie, her prices were resonable and when it came time for the actual day, she was prompt and loved everything about her. I originally scheduled a hair trial but the time got the best of me and I kept having to flake on her. She has the "no worries" Hawaiian laid back personallity so she didn't mind it at all. It was so hot and humid the day of my wedding but my make up and hair still stayed in place.

    Hope that helps.
