who else is doing an ipod wedding? We really wanted to get a dj but it just wasn't in the budget. so we're going the ipod route and we're working on our playlist now. what are your must play songs to keep everyone dancing?

We will be doin ours with an ipod & i plan to put some kesha for me & my girls to dance to on there and download some top 100 songs off of radio station playlists.

Our good friends did this last year.  iTunes on the Apple, actually.  It works well if you have a friend who is designated to kind of man the computer in case there are requests, previewing the next few songs based on mood, etc.

An alternative can be to wait to the last minute to contact DJs.  We actually did this, and given that we were calling DJs within 2 months of our event, they were willng to cut is huge discounts (50%) because they knew it was unlikely to get another gig in that time.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

We divided ours into several different playlists, and my husband controlled the songs to adapt for when people weren't feeling something in particular.
